Doug Rice’s 60th Birthday Concert

After a four-year circuitous journey, the film of my 60th birthday concert is on the website.

While my 60th birthday was April 4, 2016, the concert took place on May 21, 2016.

The sound loses something in the translation to film. Still, it is lovely to have this document of a special day.

There is a detailed accounting of the event, along with a wonderful slide show, earlier in the sequence of this “News & Notes” feed.

Enjoy!

The term “Lost” is often thrown around loosely, as is lost concert, lost episode, etc. Usually and almost always, what they claim was lost was never really lost, but this was the real deal. It truly was unobtainable for four years. Thus it became an itch I couldn’t scratch, lost in the ether, its very existence questioned. But through sheer force of will, it was finally brought forth to see the light of day. They say that all good things are worth waiting for. This concert is that. A remarkable experience. Doug at his finest and strongest. An elite sampling of his collected works. A presentation decades in the making. Magic in the air. Oh it’s true.
The Bossman will tell you, “Release Into Your Power”. On this day, he himself did just that for all the world to see and the assembled multitudes were swinged and swayed into musical ecstasy. And here’s the great news: You can experience it right here, right now. Just press the button, sit back and go on that journey where only Doug Rice can take you. You’ll thank me when it’s over….and you’ll thank Doug for being one of a kind and one for the ages. It doesn’t get better than this…at least not so far. The price is two hours of your time and never will you receive so much for so little. Guaranteed.
So sit back, enjoy, relish and revel within the friendly confines of Rainbowland.
Sing it with me…YOU’RE GONNA HAVE A GOOD TIME !!!
